Once a formatted disk is detected, the camera view
should appear on both the DVDR screen and the
DVDPak monitor. If you do not see the camera view on
the display, the source for the display needs to be
changed. (See Settings on page 12.)

Inspecting the Line

1. Power up the DVDPak if it is off.
2. Put the camera head in the line.
3. Proceed with pipe inspection as described in
your SeeSnake manual.
Brightness Adjustment
You may find you need to increase or decrease the
camera LED brightness while inspecting the inside of a
line, depending on conditions. To do so simply press the
Brightness Key
level using the Arrow Keys

Image Rotation
While doing an inspection the camera may become
rotated in the line and present an inverted image. If you
are using a DVDPak with a 5.7" LCD display, the Flip Key
for easier viewing. (This feature is not supported on the
4.3" OLED display.) The recorder will capture the image
as it is displayed.
CountPlus Control
If you are using a SeeSnake reel equipped with the
CountPlus distance counter, the measured distance will
appear on the DVDPak display. If you want to set an
interim zero-point to measure distance from some
location (such as a junction or pipe-head). Pressing the
DVDPak Zero Key
count, with the number displayed in square brackets
[0.0]. For details on using the Zero Key see the
CountPlus manual.
CountPlus parameters such as date and time are set
using the CountPlus menu key and going to the
CountPlus Tools menu. CountPlus text overlays are
managed with the CountPlus keypad as described in the
CountPlus Operator's Manual.

Recording an Inspection

When a new disk is inserted the DVDR will format the
disk for recording, providing a camera is connected.
If necessary, follow the steps under Video Display
Settings (page 12) to choose Video In as the input.
NOTICE
may physically damage the disk and cause the DVD to
be unplayable. Losing power to the unit during recording
will cause the loss of unsaved chapters.
Basic Recording
The basic technique for recording is straightforward.
