Flashing the Firmware
When upgrading to a new version of the BIOS (for example, as part
of an upgrade installation), you need to flash the firmware on your
controller using either the Navigator CD or the AFU utility.

Flashing with the Navigator CD

To flash the firmware from the Navigator CD, follow these steps:

Shut down your system.

Insert the Navigator CD into the CD drive.

Power on the system, and boot to the Navigator CD.

Select the operating system you will be supporting.

Select Continue.

At the main menu, select the Toolbox icon that appears on the
bottom of the screen.

At the Configuration Tools and NOS Install menu, select BIOS
and Firmware Update and double-click on the selection to
launch the installation.

The system should show an entry for the NetRAID-4M
Adapter (D9161/D9351A). It will indicate both the firmware
on the CD as well as the firmware currently on the system.

Select the NetRAID-4M Adapter entry.

Click Continue and follow the on-screen instructions to
update the controller's firmware.
