12.2 Decommissioning the device

Hot, toxic or corrosive sample gases can be released when the gas lines are opened. Prevent
gases from exiting prior to opening or removing the device.

12.2

Decommissioning the device

Procedure
1. Ensure that gas is no longer flowing through the device. Shut off all gas lines to the device.
Ensure that no hazardous gases escape when removing the gas lines to the device.
2. If external pumps are present, switch all of them off.
3. Purge the sample gas path with air.
4. Isolate the device from power. Disconnect the connection to the power supply.
5. Unscrew all the gas connections.
6. Remove the analyzer module, as described in the section "Removing analyzer modules,
standard version (Page 76)".
7. Remove the option modules, see section "Installing option modules (Page 81)", reverse order
8. Ensure that the device cannot be started up again unintentionally.
