4. Loosen the nuts of the skid.

5. Adjust the skid height by moving the
skid vertically, and then tighten the nuts
of the skid.
6. Contact the skid to the road surface,
using the auger housing height control
lever.
7. Check the clearance between the auger
end and the road surface.
NOTICE
If the clearance between the road sur-
face and the auger end is too small,
auger wear may increase and the road
surface could be damaged.
TIP

Adjust the left and right skids so they are
both the same height.
8. Tighten the nuts of skid to the specified
torque.
Tightening torque:
Nut:
16 N·m (1.6 kgf·m, 12 lb·ft)
