Logon with the web browser

The device is configurable via a web browser. Launch your web browser and type the string
"https://" followed by the IP address, e.g. "https://169.254.100.180".

You can also access the web-GUI of the device via the Bosch Configuration Manager. To do so:

There is no default password; it is required to set a user and a password to logon to the
device the first time during the register account setup.

Avoid using the same password for multiple devices. Setting multiple devices with the same
password poses a high security risk.

Open a browser and enter the IP address (https://[ip address]) or host name (https://
[hostname]) of the device. Accept the risk for the self-signed certificate.
If you access the device for the first time, you will get a register setup screen. This
requires you to register the administrative account for the device:
– Enter a unique username. The username must be 4 - 64 characters long.
– Enter a unique strong password for the user. The password must be 8 - 64
characters long.
– Choose the language of the interface. Later you can change your preference in
Generic settings, page 25 .
– Register the administrative account.
Enter your username and password.
Login to the web interface.
On the navigation bar, click the Network Scan button.
Right-click the selected device, then click Show in Web Browser....
The web-GUI of the device opens in your default browser.

Contain a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, special characters and
digits.
Avoid trivial character strings (e.g., 1234567890, ABCDEFGHIJ, QWERT).
Avoid manufacturer-related names, general names, brand names, words from a dictionary
or word combinations, including foreign words.
Avoid public or easily identifiable personal information (e.g., telephone number, date of
birth, ID number).
Any combinations with incremental counters (e.g., month, year).
