Recommended upgrade of the PCWA-C100 Wireless LAN PC Card driver
The latest version of the PC Card Driver is bundled with this software. If you are using an older version, it is
recommended that you upgrade the driver. PC Card indicates the PC Card Driver version.
To upgrade the PC Card Driver, see the Upgrade Manual (Access Point Firmware Upgrade Utility Help). If
you start the Access Point Firmware Upgrade Utility and click Help, the Upgrade Manual is displayed.
Notice on connecting the Access Point to a Local Area Network (LAN)
You must select LAN or Cable Modem connection mode using one of the Access Point Setup Utilities before
connecting the Access Point to a network that has a DHCP server.
Always consult your network administrator before connecting the Access Point to your LAN.
Caution:
If an Access Point with Local Only connection mode is connected to a LAN that is using a DHCP server,
the following problems may occur:
A client computer within the LAN may not be able to obtain an IP address
You may not be able to access the network
When Local Only mode is selected, the Access Point gives a private IP address (10.0.1.2 - 17, by default) to your computer, which is connected to the
same Ethernet network.
Releasing and obtaining an IP address
To release and obtain an IP address when using Windows
Edition, proceed as follows:

Remove the Access Point from a LAN.

From the Start menu, select Run and enter winipcfg.

Click OK.
