Connect the gigabit network cable (for TCI communication) to the
network connector X15 (4) of the IDH.
Connect the gigabit network cable (for image data etc.) to the network
connector X8 (5) of the IDH.
Connect the serial cable (for letter ID) to the serial interface X6 (6) of
the IDH.
Connect the mains power cable (3-wire with protective conductor) from
the UPS to the mains connector J1 (7) of the IDH.
Attention!
Lay cables safely
When laying cables, ensure that they do not pose a hazard (risk of
stumbling), and cannot be damaged.
Danger!
Danger of using an incorrect mains power cable
Always use a safety-rated 3-terminal mains cord with earthing contact
for the IDH.
The IDH must be connected to an earthed protective conductor
system.
Final work
Deactivate Maintenance Level 6.
A basic kit (operating system) has already been installed on the IDH on site.
The Recovery Kit is a hard drive image of this basic kit and is provided on
CD/DVD in case a computer needs to be replaced. See also document
"Windows Operating System RC Recovery Kit, Installation Manual".
The software is installed by Siemens technicians as part of the software
installation process.
The application kit has to be installed prior to the initial scanner start-up.
