Introduction

Features

The NU-IP40S IP Converter allows you to transmit 4K
or HD video and audio signals from a device equipped
with 3G/HD-SDI video output via a high-speed optical
fiber network with minimal delay.
Connecting multiple IP converters via a network switch
allows you to construct a network video transmission
system for medical procedures.
The input video signal is converted to the video data and
transferred via the network.
Also, the video data received via the network is
converted to the video signal and outputs.

High-Quality 4K/HD Transmissions

Transmit high-quality 4K (3840×2160, 4096×2160) and
HD (1920×1080) video signals.

Low-Latency Network Transmissions

Network transmissions with the low latency required in
the medical field are achieved via LSI developed by Sony.

High Reliability via Cable Redundancy

By connecting two optical network cables to each unit,
you can reduce problems caused by cable
disconnections.
If the connection is severed on one of the optical
network cables during video transfer, for example,
transmission can continue without interruption.

Smooth Video Switching via Software

Using the Network System Manager software (not
supplied) allows you to control multiple IP converters
from a server computer connected to the same network
for smooth video switching.
Thumbnail images from each device connected to the IP
converters can also be acquired. This allows precise and
intuitive operations via the application UI.

Mounting to monitors using a bracket

Instead of installing the unit flat on a surface, you can
mount it to the back of a monitor in a vertical orientation
by using the NUA-BK10 IP Converter Bracket monitor
accessory (not supplied).
Note
For details on supported monitors, refer to the
instructions for use for the IP converter bracket, or
contact your local Sony representative.
