15.4 Shipping and storage conditions
Introduction
The SIMATIC Drive Controller exceeds requirements in terms of shipping and storage
conditions pursuant to EN 61800-2.
The following applies under these conditions:
● Long-term storage in transport and product packaging:
At weather-protected locations that have continuous contact with outside air through
openings.
● Transport in transport packaging:
– In unventilated containers in conditions without protection from the weather.
– In the "cold" as in open-air climate.
– Air transport in the air-conditioned cargo hold.

Description
Drive systems for rated voltages <1000 V for use exclusively in the
Second Environment.
Fixed drive systems for rated voltages <1000 V for use in the Second
Environment. Use in the First Environment is possible if the drive sys-
tem is installed by a professional.
The system must be configured in accordance with the EC Declaration
of Conformity on EMC and the "EMC Design Guidelines" configuration
manual.
