12.1 SIMATIC memory card – Overview
Backing up the drive configuration
The SINAMICS Integrated parameter assignment settings are only saved in the volatile
memory. If you do not back up the settings on the SIMATIC Memory Card, they will be lost
when the SIMATIC Drive Controller is switched off.
Requirements
To save the configuration of the SINAMICS Integrated to the SIMATIC Memory Card, you
need an online connection to the SINAMICS Integrated. To establish the online connection,
you must first load the hardware configuration to the SIMATIC Drive Controller. You can find
additional information on this in Downloading a project to the device (Page 195).
Saving online data
To save the current project data to the retentive memory of the SIMATIC Memory Card, go
to the function view for the active drive and click on the

Proceed as follows to save offline data to the SIMATIC Memory Card as well as in the TIA
Portal project:
