Installing a pressure relief valve on the solar circuit
WARNING:
Risk of scalding at the pressure relief valve!
The pressure relief valve opens if the pressure on the solar side exceeds
2.5 bar.
▶ Ensure that the liquid drains away in a controlled manner.
▶ Avoid spending too much time near the system while it is operational.
▶ Install the provided 2.5 bar pressure relief valve at the top of the
storage tank.
To ensure that escaping heat transfer medium can be drained:
▶ Secure the pipework or other drainage valves [1] to the opening of
the pressure relief valve and allow it to empty out into a temperature-
resistant container.
▶ Close the filler with the provided cap.

Carrying out checks

After completing the checks, carry out the thermal insulation to
complete the work.
All screws tightened on the installation set?
Collector clamps fitted and screws tightened?
Solar hoses secured with hose clips (circlip tightened)?
Tightness test carried out and all connections checked for
leaks?
Secure positioning of the installation set, collector and
storage tank checked?
Potable water and solar circuits filled?
Pressure relief valves installed?

Insulating the connection lines and pipework

▶ Thermally insulate the on-site external pipework using material that is
resistant to UV rays, weather influences and high temperatures
(150 °C).
▶ Insulate internal pipework with high temperature-resistant (150 °C)
material.
▶ Protect the insulation against damage from birds if required.
▶ Observe local conditions (e.g. sand).
