9.1

Connecting the flow pipe

The installation of the flow pipe depends on the solar thermal system.
▶ Remove transport protection from the collector connections.
▶ Shorten the solar hose [2] as required and push with hose clips onto
the collector connection.
▶ Tighten the circlip when hose clip is located directly in front of the
bead.
NOTICE:
Leak from the storage tank connection!
The gasket can be damaged by over-tightening of the screw connection.
▶ Hand-tighten the storage tank connection pipe and then tighten with
a ½ turn using a spanner (corresponds to approx. 35 Nm).
▶ Screw the storage tank connection pipe [4] with a gasket [1] onto the
storage tank connection (solar flow).
▶ Push the solar hose [2] with hose clip [3] onto the storage tank
connection pipe.
▶ Tighten the circlip when hose clip is located directly in front of the
bead.

Connecting the return pipe

▶ Push union nut [1] over the collector connection.
▶ Place clamping washer [2] behind the bead on the collector
connection and press together.

NOTICE:
Collector damage from twisted pipes!
▶ Counterhold when tightening the fittings on the angled ferrule.
▶ Push angled ferrule with O-ring [3] against the collector connection
and secure with union nut.
NOTICE:
Leak from the storage tank connection!
The gasket can be damaged by over-tightening of the screw connection.
▶ Hand-tighten the storage tank connection pipe and then tighten with
a ½ turn using a spanner (corresponds to approx. 35 Nm).
▶ Screw the storage tank connection pipe [7] with a gasket [6] to the
solar return connection.
▶ Push the long solar hose [5] with hose clip onto the angled ferrule
and storage tank connection pipe.
▶ Tighten the circlip when hose clip [4] is located directly in front of the
bead.

Installing the return pipe bracket
▶ Position the bracket at the edge of the collector so that the pipework
runs with an ascending gradient to the storage tank connection.
▶ Tighten the screws.
