VPLS and MAC-in-MAC dual-stack support configuration
example
Network requirements
As shown in
connection between BEB-PE and BEB. To enable communication between the VPLS network and the
PBBN, configure BEB-PE to support VPLS and MAC-in-MAC dual-stack.
Create an LDP VPLS instance on the PE, with the name aaa, VSI ID 500, and peer PE's address
2.2.2.9 (the loopback interface address of BEB-PE). On PE's interface GigabitEthernet 3/0/1,
which is connected to CE 1, create a service instance to match packets with outer VLAN tag 2, and
then bind the service instance with LDP VPLS instance aaa. After the configuration, the PE forwards
packets received from CE 1 that carry the VLAN tag of 2 through the VPLS connection between the
PE and the BEB-PE.
On the BEB, create a MAC-in-MAC instance aaa, and specify its I-SID as 100, uplink port as
GigabitEthernet 3/0/1, and B-VLAN as VLAN 20. On BEB's interface GigabitEthernet 3/0/2,
which is connected to CE 2, create a service instance to match packets with the outer VLAN tag 2,
and bind the service instance with the MAC-in-MAC instance aaa. After the configuration, BEB
forwards packets received from CE 2 that carry the VLAN tag of 2 through GigabitEthernet 3/0/1,
the port connecting BEB-PE.
On the BEB-PE, create a VSI aaa that supports VPLS and MAC-in-MAC dual stack, and specify VSI
aaa to use LDP as the PW signaling protocol, VSI ID as 500, peer address as 1.1.1.9 (PE's loopback
address), I-SID of MAC-in-MAC as 100, uplink port as GigabitEthernet 3/0/1, and B-VLAN as
VLAN 20. After the configuration, BEB-PE establishes a VPLS connection with PE and a
MAC-in-MAC connection with BEB, and forwards packets between PE and BEB, implementing
communication between the VPLS network and the PBBN.
