1 Basic Operation
1.1 Outline
The Trim Designation mode consists of the following two operation modes:
1. Trim Mode (Trim ON)
When trim mode is selected in the control panel while the booklet mode is enabled,
the machine will automatically trim by cutting the booklet and deposit it in the stacker
assembly.
2. Through Mode (Trim OFF)
If trim mode is not selected in the control panel while the booklet mode is enabled,
the machine will deposit the booklet to the stacker assembly without trimming it.
When making selections for trimming and trimming width adjustment, if
the trimmer's operation mode is in LOCAL mode, use the trimmer's control
Memo
panel; on the other hand, if it is in SYSTEM mode, use its host copier's
control panel.
1.1.1 Feeding the Booklet
A booklet delivered by the saddle finisher is sent to the trimmer unit by the feeding belt
with its folded side as the leading edge.
