Older fridges and freezers can cause interference as their motor suppression components age. If the Texecom Veritas 8 transmitter unit is connected to the same ring or spur as such appliances, this interference could trigger the SW option to send an opening signal even when the shop is closed. It is recommended to avoid connecting the panel to the same electrical circuit as a fridge or freezer.

The Veritas 8 control panel has an internal speaker with adjustable low volume and a high-volume level of over 90dB at 1m. To alter the volume, locate the volume adjustment setting within the system settings or programming menu and adjust accordingly.

Alarm was off but was triggered after a power cut and cannot switch off. Pressed the code on the control panel to switch off but remains on. The lights on the digits on the control panel do not light up when pressing them. It seems as though they are not working. The top left button Tamper is lit red. How can I switch it off?

To turn off the Texecom Veritas 8 alarm after a power cut when it is not responding to the control panel, follow these steps:
1. Check all zone wiring and ensure all connections are secure. 2. Verify that detectors are powered correctly with the correct polarity. 3. If a tamper fault is present, omit the tamper zone by: - Entering the user code. - Pressing the omit key. - Pressing the relevant zone number for the tamper. - Pressing the set key to proceed. 4. If the system still does not respond, re-enter the user code to abort the setting procedure. 5. If the tamper alarm prevents resetting, Engineer Reset may be required.
If none of these steps work, the system may require an Engineer Reset using the correct Engineer code.
