Bluetooth wireless technology

Bluetooth wireless technology is an
international standard for wireless
short-range communication, allowing
you to establish a wireless connection
between your car phone and a compatible device supporting
Bluetooth wireless technology. Such devices may include, for
example, mobile phone, a laptop computer or a wireless
headset.
Since devices with Bluetooth technology communicate using
radio waves, your phone and the other device do not need to be
in direct line-of-sight. The two devices only need to be within a
maximum of 10 metres of each other, although the connection
can be subject to interference from obstructions such as the car
body or from other electronic devices.

If you wish to use this function, make sure that both the car
phone and the other device supporting Bluetooth
technology are switched on. There may be restrictions on
using such devices in some countries. Check with your local
authorities.
Activating and deactivating Bluetooth
The Bluetooth function is always activated in your car phone.
However, in other devices with Bluetooth technology, e.g.
mobile phones, Bluetooth may have to be activated or
deactivated in the device. Make sure that Bluetooth is active in
all devices supporting Bluetooth wireless technology that you
wish to use with your car phone.

Searching for devices that support Bluetooth
wireless technology
To pair your car phone with the desired compatible device
supporting Bluetooth wireless technology, you will first have to
search for it inside the Bluetooth range:

With the display in standby, select
to open this menu.

Scroll with to the option
and press to select it.
The car phone will now begin to search for mobile phones and
accessories supporting Bluetooth wireless technology within its
range. Devices responding to this interrogation will be shown
on a list, with the device found last listed at the bottom.
