Troubleshooting

Whenever the System is not operating as expected, check the following tables to see if you can resolve the
problem yourself before requesting service.
Symptoms
No sound comes out from
the speakers.
No sound can be heard when
"D-IN" source is selected.
No sound comes out from
one of the speakers.
The clock display is flashing.
The timer does not work.
A disc does not play back
when loaded.
No sound can be heard.
Playback skips.
Some audio files are not
played.
It takes time to start
playback.
Tag information is not
displayed correctly.
Check all connections as described in "Connection." (P.8, 9)
Increase the volume. (P.10, 12)
Cancel muting. (P.12)
Unplug any headphones plugged into the main unit. (P.10)
Check all connections as described in "Connection." (P.9)
Check whether "PCM" is selected for the digital audio output setting
on the connected component.

Check the volume balance for the left and right speakers. (P.37)
