Adjusting the Volume
During a call, you can press the up or down navigation key to adjust the volume of the
earpiece or the speaker. The icon
bars mean louder volume. When the last bar becomes red, it indicates that the volume is the
loudest.
Muting or Unmuting the Microphone
During a call, the microphone can be muted so that the other party on the call cannot hear you.
This function allows a private conversation with others nearby.



5.6 Managing Contacts

To view the contacts in a handset, choose Frequent Contact and then View from the main
menu or directly press Frequent Contact from the home screen.
From the Frequent Contact screen, you can do the following to configure a speed-dial
number: Select Speed dial, press navigation keys to scroll to a desired key, select Modify,
and then select a desired contact from contacts. After the preceding settings, you can dial the
number by pressing and holding the key that has been set.

To mute the microphone during a call, press
the LCD.
To unmute the microphone, press
LCD.
In standby mode, press MENU to display the main menu.
Use the navigation keys to highlight Frequent Contact, and then select Select.
Use up and down navigation keys to highlight New contact, and then select Select.
Enter the contact name.
Use the down navigation key to highlight the number field, and then enter the contact
phone number as required.
Use the down navigation key to highlight the ringtone type to the right of the
icon, and then use the left or right navigation key to select a ringtone to accompany the
number. Every time a ringtone is selected, the handset plays a preview of the ringtone.
Select a wallpaper using the same method. Then select SAVE to save the settings.
Enter a phone number in standby mode, and then select SAVE.
Enter the contact name.
