2.3.5 Connecting to External Devices

eSpace 8850 provides interfaces for connecting to external storage devices, such as a USB
storage device, MMC and microSD cards. You can import video files and contacts from the
storage devices to eSpace 8850 or export video files or contacts from eSpace 8850 to the
storage devices.
Inserting a USB Device
You can insert a USB device to the USB port on the rear panel of eSpace 8850, as shown in
Figure

Pinch the battery cable near the battery end with your fingers, and gently pull it up to
remove the battery.
Replace the battery cover by sliding the cover up until it snaps in place.

When you are inserting a USB device, ensure that the connector of the device is aligned with the
port of the base unit. Otherwise, the device may fail to insert.
To prevent any damage to the USB device, do not place the base unit horizontally after the device is
inserted and ensure that no external forces are applied to the device.
