Firmware Upgrade

The Firmware File extension is DAM, the current firmware version is DAM11178
Contact Mitsubishi Electric Australia for the latest version.
To Upgrade the firmware follow the instructions below;
1. Power down the unit.
2. Turn the power off completely, using the switch on the back.
3. On the front of the unit, press and hold the REC/STOP button.
4. Keep the button pressed, and turn on the unit using the switch at the back.
5. Keep holding the REC/STOP button until all the buttons on the front of the unit
light up.
6. Release the REC/STOP button.
7. Eject the CD drive, and insert the CDROM containing the new firmware.
The firmware must be located in the root directory of the CD, and cannot be
renamed to a different file name.
8. Close the drive, and press the REC button to start the upload process.
9. The firmware update file will upload, and takes approx 10mins.
Once it is complete, the unit will automatically restart.
The Firmware can also be loaded from a USB memory device have the file saved in the root directory, the file
cannot be renamed to a different file name.
If the DVR can not detect a CD or DVD it will use the USB port on the front of the DX-TL5000E.
The firmware update will take about 3mins and the unit will automatically restart.
10. Press the POWER button to start the DX-TL5000E
START Recording

Press the REC/STOP button.
• The REC/STOP button lights up and recording starts.
