The SuperScript 1800 comes with an NEC SuperScript 1800
PPD (PostScript Printer Description) that works with the
standard Macintosh LaserWriter printer driver. The PPD and
driver work together when creating a print job.
note:
The printer requires hardware upgrades in order
to receive print jobs from Macintosh computers. For more
information, see "Printer Hardware Requirements" on
Page 19.
Opening the
Page Setup and Print Dialog Boxes
The Page Setup and Print dialog boxes can be opened from
inside a software application. Use them both for configuring
the basic printing properties. Use the Print dialog box for
starting a print job.
Opening the Page Setup Dialog Box
To open the Page Setup dialog box:
1.
Start the software application.
2.
Open the document you want to print.
3.
From the File menu, select Page Setup to open the Page
Setup dialog box.
4. Assure that NEC SuperScript 1800 is selected in the
Format for drop-down list.
Opening the Print Dialog Box
To open the Print dialog box:
1. Start the software application.
2. Open the document you want to print.
3. From the File menu, select Print to open the Print dialog
box.
4.
Assure that NEC SuperScript 1800 is selected in the
Printer drop-down list.
