Maintenance

■ Cleaning
When the unit becomes dirty
Clean it with a soft cloth. When the unit is excessively dirty, use a soft
cloth dampened in water (external surfaces only).
Clean the plugs and the connecting sockets.
If the plugs or sockets are dirty, noise may be heard.
Cleaning will prevent noise.
Caution:
● Do not use chemicals for cleaning (petrol, paint thinner, etc.). It
may damage the cabinet finish.
● Do not apply oil to the inside of the unit. It may cause
malfunctions.

MEANING
The battery level has run out.
(Recharge the battery)
The battery level is low.
(can not operate SD/MMC card)
The HOLD switch is turned on.
(Turn off the HOLD switch)

Disposal of the unit

The unit is equipped with a built-in battery.
If necessary, remove and dispose of the battery as well.
Follow local regulations regarding battery disposal.
Warnings:
● Never disassemble the unit unless you dispose of the built-in
battery.
● Do not connect other battery to the unit.
Explosion may result.
● Do not reinstall the removed battery.
● After disassembly, never use the unit and the battery for any
purposes.
■ Removing the built-in battery

Turn off the unit.

Disconnect the USB cable and earphone.

Remove the screws and open the cabinet.
4
Disconnect the cone wire from battery connector at the
unit.
5
Remove the battery.
● The battery is attached to the PCB by adhesive tape.
