8.5 Servicing the heat pump circuit

8.5.1 Replace compressor

Dispose of the R407c coolant complying with the legal provisions in your country.
 Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
 If there is a loading and draining valve evacuate the gas
by connecting the evacuation pipe directly to it.
 If there is no loading and draining valve evacuate the gas
by inserting the specific pin valve (1).
 Evacuation should take 15 minutes and should only be performed
on the suction side.
 During the evacuation cycle, the compressor will need to be shaken
at least once to release as much gas as possible still combined with
the oil.
 By doing so, as much gas and humidity as possible will be removed
from the cooling circuit.
As R407c gas is not inflammable and there are no risks of explosion, it is possible to unsolder
 Unsolder the suction conduit and gas supply.
 Slacken the compressor from its slot and remove it.
If it is not already there, connect a valve to the loading pipe (2) to
carry out the gas loading stage.
This can be welded directly onto the loading pipe previously cut or,
make the connections using LOCKRING connections (3).

The circuit is evacuated with the compressor switched off.
