Capacitor (For 600/605 Models Only)

The capacitor is used in belt drive models only.
As belt drive models use an induction motor
which needs initial starting power to start. This
power will be supplied from the capacitor as it
stores energy.
Capacitor Removal
1. Remove Backsplash assembly (see
Backsplash Removal under Control Panel
Housing / Backsplash Assembly in the
Cabinet and Structure section of this service
guide).
2. Disconnect the wiring harness from the
capacitor.
3. Remove the capacitor from the capacitor
bracket.

Lid Assembly

1. Remove backsplash assembly and main

2. Remove four hex screws.

3. Open lid assembly and push to rear side of
washer to disengage locators and pull out by
holding on each side.
