The CUSTOM CYCLES are located on the main menu. Select the desired custom cycle by
tapping on the selection of the screen to proceed.

Select the type of custom cycle. Choose between CUSTOM RICE, CUSTOM BEAN,
CUSTOM SMALL GRAIN, and CUSTOM LARGE GRAIN.
NOTE: Large grain examples are Barley, Farro, Spelt, and Kamut. Small grain examples
are Buckwheat, Sorghum, Couscous, and Amaranth.

Add desired food to the Ceramic Pot. The Grain and Rice Cooker will automatically sense
the weight of the food when pouring it into the Ceramic Pot.
TIP: While on the weight screen, the units of measure (cups/oz/g) can be changed on the
screen by tapping the 3 dots on the right.

If the food has already been added, remove the Ceramic Pot for 3 seconds and reinsert
pot in the cooker.
NOTE: Adding food without selecting the cook mode first will limit the unit of measurement
to ounces or grams only. Cups is not available with this method. For best results, level the
food inside the pot for even cooking.

Select food preparation, liquid type, and food texture on the screen.
OPTIONAL: If water was selected as a liquid type, you can delay the use of the
Water Tank to dispense water into the unit to cook and finish cooking at a later time by
using the DELAYED COOK feature. This can be set for up to 24 hours.

If too little food is added, the letters will flash red and the message "Please add more food
to the pot" will appear. Once completed, the scale screen will appear.

Add the desired liquid to the Ceramic Pot and follow the measurements on the screen.
Close the Lid and tap the START option.

The screen will show an estimated cook time and the KEEP WARM option. This option can
be turned off if desired.

When cooking is about to complete, a countdown timer will appear and audibly notify you
when cooking has been completed. When finished, the Grain and Rice Cooker will
automatically switch to KEEP WARM mode for 6 hours.
IMPORTANT: The Ceramic Pot will be hot. To remove, use pot holders.

To save a custom setting as a favorite: Select the Save option during the KEEP WARM
stage. Add the name and select the "

CARE AND CLEANING

CLEANING THE GRAIN AND RICE COOKER
IMPORTANT: Unplug the appliance from the outlet before cleaning. Allow the appliance to
cool completely before removing/adding parts and before cleaning the appliance.
Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads. They could scratch the surface.
Wipe the outside of the Grain and Rice Cooker with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
A non-abrasive liquid cleaner may be used for stubborn stains.
The ceramic non-stick coating of the Grain and Rice Cooker pot is scratch-resistant. However,
abusive usage (dropping or hard impact with utensils) can chip or crack the ceramic coating.

CLEANING CYCLE

Automated cleaning: The Grain and Rice Cooker has two automated cleaning modes:
1.
Select the CLEAN option from the main menu.
2.
Select the DESCALE or PRE-WASH POT mode function to start the cleaning cycle
process.
The DESCALE cycle utilizes water and vinegar to flush-out any mineral deposits in the internal
plumbing on a periodic basis (every 2-4 months).
