There are five parameters to set on the serial communications interface, identified by
numbers from | to 5, as follows.
Parameter 1: baud rate
Determines the rate of data transfer in bits per second. Available settings: 300, 1200,
2400, 4800, and 9600 bps.
Parameter 2: data bits
Determines the data word length in bits. Available settings: 7 BIT and 8 BIT.
Parameter 3: parity
Determines the type of parity check used for serial communication. Available settings:
EVEN, ODD, NONE, SPACE, and MARK.
Parameter 4: stop bits
Determines the number of stop bits. Available settings: 1 BIT and 2 BIT.
Parameter 5: delimiter
Determines the key code delimiter that is sent following each data code output in the PC
CONTROL mode. Available settings are as follows.
NON
Data codes are output without delimiters.
CR
The carriage return code (ODH) is automatically appended to each data code
output.
CRLF
The carriage return and line feed codes (ODH, OAH) are automatically appended
to each data code output.
The LCD panel on the remote control unit shows the parameter number (@) and the
setting code ©) . See the next section, "Serial communications parameters" for details.
