Intended use
The DRIVE‑CLiQ rotary encoder complies with the requirements of the Machinery
Directive 2006/42/EC.
The DRIVE‑CLiQ rotary encoder is approved for an ambient temperature of ‑30 °C to +50 °C.
The DRIVE‑CLiQ rotary encoder is suitable for degrees of protection ≤ IP66.
The DRIVE‑CLiQ rotary encoder is approved for vibrations according to EN 60068‑2‑6 up to
max. 200 m/s
to max. 500 m/s
Maintenance of the DRIVE‑CLiQ rotary encoder is not intended. If faults occur or the
maximum service life is reached, replace the encoder.
The DRIVE‑CLiQ rotary encoder is affected by interference due to strong magnetic fields of a
brake. Where a brake is used, use a motor shaft made of a non-magnetic steel, e.g. 1.4571.
The torque arm for the DRIVE‑CLiQ rotary encoder must be made of corrosion-resistant steel
(e.g. 1.4310‑2 H or 1.4101‑2 B).
