Use this menu to display the information recorded by the REx 5xx terminal for the 10
latest disturbances, these commands are available:
Display information of a disturbance.
Calculate the distance to fault.
Manually trigger the disturbance reporting unit.
Clear the disturbance report memory.
To view the complete disturbance report, including the result of the event recorder
and the disturbance recorder, use a front-connected PC or the SMS or SCS.

A disturbance will show:
7KH WLPH RI GLVWXUEDQFH, which is defined as the local terminal date and time when
the first triggering signal started the disturbance recording.
7KH WULJ VLJQDO, which started the recording.
,QGLFDWLRQV, activated during the fault duration. Indications to be recorded are se-
lected during the terminal configuration procedure.
The fault locator will also report:
)DXOW ORFDWLRQ, provides information about the distance to the fault and the fault
loop used for the calculation.
7ULS YDOXHV, are displayed as phasors (RMS value and phase angle) of the currents
and voltages, before and during the fault.
&DOF'LVW7R)OW
Possible to recalculate the distance to fault with a different fault loop or with different
fault locator setting parameters. The recalculation is enabled since trip values are avail-
able for each disturbance that caused a phase-selective trip of the distance protection
function.
