Programme 10: Cake

Ready-made cake mixes are ideal for this
programme. Follow the preparation guidelines
provided on the packaging.

Programme 11: Jam

Jams and marmalades can be prepared quickly
and easily in the breadmaker. Even if you have
never tried cooking jam before, you should give it
a try. This preparation method yields particularly
delicious jams.
Proceed as follows:
• Wash some fresh, ripe fruit. Apples, peaches,
pears and other tough-skinned fruits may need
to be peeled.
• Always use specifi ed amounts, as these have been
worked out precisely for the JAM programme.
Otherwise the mix will boil to early and run over.
• Weigh the fruit, cut it into small pieces (max. 1
cm) or puree it and add it to the container.
• Add jam sugar "1:1" in the amount given. Use
only this type of sugar and not normal house-
hold sugar or jam sugar "2:1" as the jam will not
thicken.
• Mix the fruit with the sugar and start the pro-
gramme, which will now run fully automatically.
• After the programme is fi nished, you can fi ll the
jam into jars and seal them well.
