4. Remove the rubber outlet on the cover and clean it and

body and discard it (Fig. 18). Avoid knocking the filter
into the side of the body.
7. If you are also replacing the safety filter, gently slide it
out of the air cleaner body and discard it (Fig. 18).
Avoid knocking the filter into the side of the body.
Important
Never clean the paper element with
pressurized air or liquids, such as solvent, gas, or
kerosene. Cleaning it may damage it, allowing
contaminants into the engine. Replace the paper element
if it is dirty or damaged (i.e., after approximately 100
operating hours).

Changing the Oil
1. Start the engine and let it run for five minutes. This
warms the oil so it drains better.
2. Park the traction unit so that the drain side is slightly
lower than the opposite side to ensure that the oil
drains completely.
3. Lower the loader arms, chock the wheels, and stop the
engine. Remove the key.
Caution
Components will be hot if the traction unit has
been running. If you touch hot components you
may be burned.
Allow the traction unit to cool before performing
maintenance or touching components under the
hood.
4. Place one end of a hose on the drain valve and the
other end in a pan.
5. Open the drain valve by turning it counterclockwise,
pulling out as you turn it (Fig. 19).
6. When the oil has drained completely, close the drain
valve and remove the hose.
