2-3-2. DC Fan (Power Supply Unit)

1. Remove the inside panel and outside panel.
(Refer to Section 1-4.)
2. Remove the front assembly. (Refer to Section 2-1.)
3. Remove the two screws of the AD-180 board.
4. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver or the like between the
board bracket and the groove of the chassis, and push
it slowly in the direction of the arrow to disconnect the
plug-in board.
5. Disconnect the harness (ETHER) from the connector
(CN802) on the AT-173A board.
6. Disconnect the harnesses (PS-RE, OHB-PS23) from
the connectors (CN1, CN2) on the RE-241 board.
7. Remove the two screws of the RE-241 board.
8. Disconnect the two coaxial cables from the connectors
(CN701, CN702) on the VDA-67 board.

Be sure to hold the plug when disconnecting the
coaxial cable. Do not pull the cable.
9. Draw all the plug-in boards along the board rail
grooves.

Do not attempt to remove
by pulling the cable.
10. Disconnect the harness (FAN-R) from the connector
(CN-26) on the MB-1100 board.
11. Sufficiently loosen the two back attached screws.
12. Remove the two screws, and remove the PS fan
assembly.
13. Disconnect the harness connected to the DC fan (PS)
from the connector (CN4) on the RE-253 board.
14. Remove the two screws to detach the DC fan (PS).

15. Install the DC fan (PS) by reversing the steps above.

. Be careful of the orientation of the label side and the
harness when installing the DC fan.
. Hold the plug of the coaxial cable, and connect it
perpendicularly to the connector. Push the plug into
the connector while turning it clockwise and coun-
terclockwise several times.
