    3 Description 3.1 Intended use The Terra Gateway Pro is intended for the energy management for the site that has a cluster of ABB DC chargers of EVs. Terra Gateway Pro is meant for indoor operation, designed for places with no public access. The properties of the electrical grid, ambient conditions and mechanical space must comply with the technical data of the Terra Gateway Pro.

    4.2 Prepare place for installation 4.2.1 Ambient conditions The use of the Terra Gateway Pro in dusty environments must be avoided. This can otherwise lead to dust deposits that affect the functionality of the device, especially in systems with active cooling (fans), which may no longer ensure sufficient cooling.

    The device is installed with the mounting holes located on the mounting plate.     To ensure sufficient air circulation, a specified clearance must be provided above, below, to the side and rear of the unit. For the minimum specified clearance, see the following diagrams.     ETH1 has a higher metric priority than ETH2. This means that the queried DNS will be trans- lated by the modem that is connected to the ETH1.   • Page 21 4.2.6.1 Network topologies There are multiple topologies that can be configured with a Terra Gateway Pro. Is responsibility of the system integrator to design the adequate network topology that fits the site and owner re- quirements that meet the operational needs and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Page 22 4.2.6.2 DHCP setting The router that connects the local devices to the Terra Gateway Pro must have a DHCP server that can lease the IP address of the local devices. These leases must be persistent and indefinite; i.e. does not change due to power cycles. If this is not the case, the energy management to the chargers will stop working.
