    The BYPASS OP9000 is a case-shaped equipment with the height of 1RU. The boards of the BYPASS OP9000 are inserted horizontally in the front board area. Usually, there are fiber frames installed on both sides of the chassis for managing the optical fibers.

    3.1 System control and communication unit SCC The system control and communication unit (SCC) is the base platform on which BYPASS OP9000 system apply its management functions of NEs level. SCC can directly control each sub-card in system by functions such as device config management, fault management, performance management, safety management and maintain management.

    Pull out the optical fiber gently. 3.4 Requirements for Optical Fiber Management The BYPASS OP9000 can be installed in many ways according to the equipment room conditions. This section introduces the basic principles and requirements for arranging and bundling the optical fibers.

    3.4.4 Managing Fiber in Front Board Area There are two fiber frames on the BYPASS OP9000 chassis for managing the fibers. The fiber frames are attached to the two sides of the chassis, as shown in Figure 3-4.

All the fibers should be routed to the front board area from the right of the chassis and then connected to the corresponding optical interfaces.

    4.2 Optical Line Protection All channels in optical line can be protected in this way. DCP can be applied in the protection on backbone. Optical line protection of BYPASS OP9000 is applied in point to point networks as well as ring networks.
