  • Page 33 The OptiX OSN 9560 supports input and output of 75-ohm and 120-ohm clock signals. However, 75/120-ohm clock transit cables are required if an OptiX OSN 9560 traces clock signals from a 75-ohm port because STI boards on the OptiX OSN 9560 provide only 120-ohm RJ45 connectors.

    Installing Fibers Precautions for Installing Fibers DANGER Always wear protective glasses or goggles when you look directly at an optical port (Figure 1). Coil fibers from other sites on the ODF and connect them to the local cabinet. Do not coil the fibers from other equipment rooms in the local cabinet.
  • Page 41 Overhead cabling One OptiX OSN 9560 subrack and one OptiX OSN 3500/7500 subrack can be installed in one cabinet. In an overhead cabling scenario, 640 fibers can be installed. Run 200 fibers along the fiber area on the left side panel and 200 along the fiber area on the right side panel.

A scenario with cabling from the floor allows a maximum of 540 fibers to be installed. Be sure that fibers do not block air filter nets and that fan boxes are accessible for installation or removal.
