Be sure that the 490 doesn't interfere with any of
the on-board systems. Check all other systems to
ensure that their performance doesn't degrade
when the 490 is turned on.
If the vessel is out of the water when the echo
sounder is turned on, the transducer may be
damaged.
Do not open the 490. There are no serviceable
parts inside. Unauthorized tampering with the unit
will automatically void the warranty.
