Installing the Kit
1. Park the machine on level ground.
2. Engage the parking brake, shut off the engine, and
remove the key before making adjustments to the
machine.
DANGER
If you leave the key in the ignition switch,
someone could accidently start the engine and
seriously injure you or other bystanders.
3. Remove the 2 existing screws and washers from the
control panel as shown in
4. Using the 2 existing screws and washers, mount the
slope-indicator bracket to the top of the console as
shown in
Figure
1.
5. Loosely mount the slope indicator to the bracket with
2 bolts, 4 washers, and 2 locknuts as shown in
6. Adjust the slope indicator to 0 degrees and tighten the
bolts to secure the slope indicator to the bracket.
Important: Do not overtighten the fasteners, or
you could damage the slope indicator.
7. Affix the appropriate supplied decal to the slope
indicator, so that the decal on the slope indicator shows
the same indicated maximum angle as the decal fitted
to the lid of the storage pod on the machine.
DANGER
Operating the machine on steep hills could result in
a rollover and cause serious injury or death.
Do not operate the machine on side hills steeper
than the angle indicated on the appropriate safety
decal.
