Defines how audio is streamed from one
Bluetooth device to another. For instance, music
is streamed from the phone to a Bluetooth
headset.
Defines the way to transport and exchange
commands and messages for controlling A/V
devices.
Applies RTP protocols for the transport structure
and data formats that rely on L2CAP channel, a
P2P signaling structure, for media streaming and
related setup. The transactions on this protocol
is binary and the bandwidth is limited.
Enables remote control of multimedia player on
peripheral Bluetooth wireless devices. Common
control functions include Play, Pause, Stop, Fast
Forward, Rewind, Next and Previous.
A generic definition of the protocols and
procedures to distribute streamed multimedia
contents via ACL channels. GAVDP defines
devices into two roles: Initiator and Acceptor.
Initiator initiates a signal and the Acceptor
provides a response. GAVDP also provides the
basic streaming parameters for A2DP and VDP.
Enables the phone to control and use a
Bluetooth device such as a mouse, joystick or
keyboard. The Bluetooth HID protocol provides
low-latency and low power requirements.
Notably, keyboard HID must be secure.
Connect the handset with other Bluetooth
devices in a piconet via Bluetooth protocol.
Defines the protocol that a BLE central
device, such as a smartphone, tablet or PC,
and a BLE peripheral device, exchange data
through attribute protocols of Service and
Characteristics. Keep in mind that a BLE
peripheral device connects to only one BLE
central device at a time. Common features of
Service and Characteristics include Service
Discovery, Characteristic Read, Characteristic
Write, Characteristic Notification and
Characteristic Indication.
