This control scheme is used when it is desirable to operate the starter manually and
automatically. In the Hand position, the starter coil is energized immediately. In the auto
position, the starter is energized by the maintained PLC contact. When the PLC contact
opens, the motor stops.
To program the MM3 Motor Manager 3 for two-wire hand / two-wire auto control, set:

STOP CONFIGURATION
The
setpoint was chosen to match the wiring diagram provided. Any of
INTERLOCK INPUT 1
the available Interlocks 1 through 10 could be programmed for two-wire control.
Hand operation:
• In the hand position, the motor will run.
• Pressing the STOP key causes a latched trip. The motor cannot be restarted until
RESET is pressed.
Off operation:
• In the off position, the motor will stop.
