Description
Fingerprint sensor assembly
Fingerprint sensor bracket (included in Bracket Kit)
Fingerprint sensor cable (included in the Cable Kit)
Fingerprint sensor insert (included in Plastics Kit; for use in models without a fingerprint sensor)
Before removing the fingerprint sensor assembly, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly
2. Place the computer in Battery Safe mode
3. Remove the following components:
a. Bottom cover
b. Battery
c. Hard drive
Remove the fingerprint sensor assembly:
1. Slide the bracket toward the inside of the computer, and then lift it off the fingerprint sensor board (1).
TIP: A tool may be required to push and release the bracket.
2. Disconnect the cable from the ZIF connector on the fingerprint sensor (2).
3. Remove the fingerprint sensor from the computer (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the fingerprint sensor assembly.
