6 Replace the heat sink (see "Replacing the Heat Sink" on page 107).
7 Follow the instructions from step 11 to step 15 in "Replacing the Top
Cover" on page 87.
8 Slide the USB-board cable into the system-board connector and press
down on the connector latch to secure the cable.
9 Replace the coin-cell battery (see "Replacing the Coin-Cell Battery" on
page 52).
10 Replace the Mini-Card(s) (see "Replacing the Mini-Card(s)" on page 23).
11 Replace the display assembly (see "Replacing the Display Assembly" on
page 58).
12 Replace the keyboard (see "Replacing the Keyboard" on page 45).
13 Replace the palm-rest assembly (see "Replacing the Palm-Rest Assembly"
on page 40).
14 Replace the optical drive (see "Replacing the Optical Drive" on page 34).
15 Follow the instructions in step 5 in "Replacing the Hard Drive(s)" on
page 30.
16 Replace the memory module(s) (see "Replacing the Memory Module(s)"
on page 18).
17 Replace the module cover (see "Replacing the Module Cover" on page 16).
18 Replace the battery (see "Replacing the Battery" on page 14).
19 Replace any blank or card you removed from the Media Card Reader.
CAUTION:
stray screws remain inside the computer. Failure to do so may result in damage to
the computer.
20 Turn on the computer.
NOTE:
After you have replaced the system board, enter the computer Service Tag
in the BIOS of the replacement system board.
21 Enter the service tag (see "Entering the Service Tag in the BIOS" on
page 131).
