9. PROGRAMMING A SIMPLE CAMERA
SEQUENCE
To program a sequence of cameras 1 through 5
having a 2 second dwell rate on the monitor
currently
being
used,
commands:
A. To enter the programming mode, press
PROGRAM, the desired sequence number
(1 to 60), then ENTER. The monitor display
will change to the following format:
1ST LINE = SEQUENCE # SEQUENCE LENGTH
2ND LINE = >CAMERA #< MONITOR # DWELL
Note the "> <" prompts around the camera
number. You may now enter the 1st camera
of the sequence into this position. If it is
correct, no action is necessary. If not, enter
the desired camera number using the
keypad, then ENTER. Using the joystick
control, move RIGHT one step. The prompts
now are around the monitor number. Verify
that the number indicated is the monitor
number being programmed. If not, enter the
desired number using the keypad, then press
ENTER. Move RIGHT again and verify that
the number 2 is shown. If not, enter 2 (for a 2
second dwell) using the keypad, then press
ENTER. One line is now complete.
Press the NEXT key to add a second line.
The
camera
increments while the monitor number and
dwell remain the same as the first line. Since
this line is correct, no change is necessary
and NEXT may be pressed 3 more times
until line 5 is reached.
In a spreadsheet format, the sequence
appears like this:
CAMERA
MONITOR
1
(MONITOR # HERE)
2
(MONITOR # HERE)
3
(MONITOR # HERE)
4
(MONITOR # HERE)
5
(MONITOR # HERE)
Note that the joystick can be used to move
around within the spreadsheet, but only the
NEXT key can add new lines.
B. At this point, pressing the RUN/EXECUTE
key will exit the programming mode, store
the sequence into memory and start the
sequence running.

10. CONTROLLING SEQUENCES
(Automatic video switching control)
Sequences
can
incremented step by step in both the forward and
reverse direction. Pressing NEXT momentarily
when the sequence is stopped will switch to the
next camera. Holding NEXT down will quickly
scan through the sequence. PREVIOUS is
similar to HOLD, but is used to make the
sequence switch in the backward direction. RUN
starts a sequence switching automatically. When
a sequence is running, PREVIOUS and NEXT
can be used to alter its direction. Press HOLD to
stop any ongoing sequence. Note that the
sequence direction (forward or reverse) and state
(running or stopped) is indicated in the status
display of the monitor overlay at the right side of
the sequence number.
11. PROGRAMMING A SalvoSwitching
CAMERA SEQUENCE
(Automatic switching of multiple monitors as
a group)
Enter the programming mode as described
above in step 9 for a simple camera sequence.
Since a salvo sequence involves multiple
monitors switching as a group, the programming
must involve more than 1 monitor. A simple
salvo sequence which switches cameras on two
monitors at the same time is show below in the
spreadsheet format:
CAMERA
MONITOR
1
(1st MONITOR # HERE)
2
(2nd MONITOR # HERE)
3
(1st MONITOR # HERE)
4
(2nd MONITOR # HERE)
5
(1st MONITOR # HERE)
6
(2nd MONITOR # HERE)
Follow the instructions used above for the
simple
camera
programmed, but remember to use a
different sequence number for this salvo
sequence. Note that to enter the dwell for a
salvo step, key in 61 and press ENTER.
