User Function 23 -
Display CPU Software Version Number
Users can use this function to display the revision
number of the Allegiant's CPU software on the
monitor screen. Once the user function is entered,
the CPU software revision number will be displayed
on the monitor screen.
User Function 24 -
Set Positions On All Monitor Displays
This function is similar to user function 4 except it
changes the monitor display positions of all monitors
in the system.
After entering user function 24, use the joystick to
position the display as required on the monitor the
keyboard is controlling. Press ENTER to store and
change all system monitor displays to this position.
Press USER to exit.
User Function 25 -
Set Brightness on All Monitor Displays
This function is similar to User function 5 except it
changes the monitor display brightness of all
monitors in the system.
The white portion of the characters on the video
monitor displays may be made brighter or dimmer by
the User 25 feature. After entering the mode, there
are four possible settings; moving the joystick up will
increase the brightness and moving the joystick
down will decrease the brightness. Once the display
on the monitor the keyboard is currently controlling is
adjusted, press ENTER to change all system
monitors to the same setting. Press USER to exit the
mode.
The User 25 mode also permits selection of either
the 'status' display or a 12 character 'monitor
message' to appear in the first line of the monitor
display. The 'status' display will indicate alarm,
sequence, and lockout information regarding the
monitor. The 'monitor message' is a stationary
display. This means the display will not change as
the video is switched from camera to camera on the
monitor. After entering the mode, moving the joystick
left will select the 'monitor message' format and
moving the joystick right will select the 'status' format
on the monitor the keyboard is controlling. Press
ENTER to change all system monitors to the same
setting. To exit the mode, press USER.
User Function 26 -
Set Display Option On All Monitors
This function is similar to user function 6 except it is
used to select the monitor display option of all
monitors in the system. The User 26 mode allows the
user to remove the time & date, the left side portion
of the display (on TC8300, TC8600, and TC8800
systems only), or to remove the entire display from
the system monitors. After entering the mode,
moving the joystick down will blank the time & date
from the screen. This is sometimes desirable when a
VCR with its own time & date is being used. Moving
the joystick up will add the time & date back again.
Moving the joystick left will blank the left side portion
of the display (the entire display will be blanked on
TC8500 systems) from the monitor and moving right
will return it. Refer to user mode 5 or 25 to verify
brightness level. Press ENTER to update all system
monitors to the selected format. Press USER to exit
the mode.
User Function 27 -
Select Keyboard Log-in mode
This function controls the system's keyboard log-in
feature. The selection is valid only if DIP switch 5 on
the CPU is in the ON position. If the CPU DIP switch
is OFF, then the log-in mode can not be activated.
After entering the mode, the user moves the joystick
up or down to select which mode the system should
function in. If the log-in feature is enabled, ("MUST
USE KBD PWD" is selected) the system keyboards
require each user to log-in and log-off the system.
All users will be required to enter a user number and
the correct password before interaction with the
system is permitted. If the log-in feature is disabled
("NO KBD PWD LOGIN" is selected), the system
keyboards are always 'on-line' with the system.
Once the selection is made, exit the user function
mode and reset the system either via keyboard
User Function 15 or by removing and restoring the
main AC power to the system. Once the system has
been reset, the keyboard log-in function will be active
and all system keyboards will need to be logged-in
before access to the system is possible.
