NOTE:
NOTE
4–42
Let's take a closer look over the name convention which is in use when the files are
created automatically. You will notice that the file name consists of 2 parts: 1
character (letter or digit and a number separated by underscore. Please note that this
number is a device serial number (which we input before) and the first character
specifies the type of the device. There are other conventions currently in use, as
follows:
'r' – states for DGT-R Repeater
'1' – states for DGT-U Primary
'2' – states for DGT-U Recloser (if any)
'3' to '9' – states for DGT-D device assigned to DGT-U Primary site (the formula is: n =
Site number + 2).
In our example we can easily see that file "3_1729024.hkf" has been created for the
device DGT-D assigned to site 1 of DGT-U Primary and its serial number is 1729024.
If the user makes any significant changes to the device description (significant means any
changes that affect the information uploaded to the device), the auto–generated Settings
Files will be edited automatically and the appropriate message will appear.
5.
The other way to create a Settings File for the particular device is to do it manually. In
such case we select the device in the System File node first, right-mouse click and
from the drop-down menu, select the command Generate Settings File (this can also
be done using the Offline window):
6.
You will then be asked to provide a file name and location for the new Settings File you
are about to create. Let's type something like "Test_DGT_D_Device_Site1," then press
the Save button:
