To bring your distributed generating system online as part of the overall Utility system,
select Send Settings File. In the window that appears, go to the folder that you
created (in this case, the DGT folder) and select the .hkf file. The file name is
composed of two parts: (1) The device number (or "R" in the case of the Recloser), and
(2) the serial number of the device.
6.
Press the Open button:
7.
To send the file to your DGT-D device, press Yes. After a few seconds, the following
information screen will appear:
Your DGT-D unit is now communicating with the Utility.
If any attempt is made to send a Settings File to a unit whose serial number does not
match in some way, the following error message will be displayed:
A similar error message will be displayed if there is a communications error in the
system.
If you have more than one generating system to connect, repeat the above procedure
(4 to 7) for each system. The Quick Connect procedure (item 3 above) will have
already "found" each of your DGT-D units.
8.
There are some extra features in the Online Window that you can find quite useful
when dealing with the DGT devices:
Diagnostic – gets current settings from the device. These settings can be stored in a
text file and, in case of necessary, sent later to the technical support team.
Status – gets the synchronization status of the device.
Logout – forces system to logout.
9.
If you double click upon Diagnostics node in the Online window, the next window will
appear:
