Preparing to use the detector

CAUTION

Charge the battery pack.
Charge the battery on the day of examination or on the previous day. Insert a
detector containing a battery pack into the Docking Station to charge it. Otherwise,
charge the battery pack by inserting in the battery charger. For details about the
operations, refer to the user's manuals for the battery pack, the Docking Station and
the battery charger.
The battery pack attached to the detector can be charged in a wired
configuration. For details, refer to the user's manuals for the Multi Box.
Battery slowly discharges even if not in use. The battery pack may have expired
if it discharges immediately after being fully charged. You can purchase an
optional battery pack to replace an exhausted one.

Attach the battery pack.
Place the detector on a flat surface before commencing the steps below.
Otherwise the battery pack may fall out while it is being attached.
