ALS functionality check and calibration

ALS functionality check and calibration can be done using the Phoenix component:
Tuning->ALS Tune Wizard . Operating instructions must be read and understood thoroughly in the ALS
Tune Wizard Help before the tuning takes place.

Proximity sensor functionality check (including IR LED) and calibration

Proximity sensor functionality can be tested using the Phoenix component:
Testing->Proximity Sensor Test (see the following figure).
'Crosstalk' irradiance (unwanted IR leakage inside the phone) can be read if no reflector is on top of the sensor
when clicking Read .
If the crosstalk irradiance is higher than the irradiance threshold (default set by SW), the proximity sensor
cannot work. Check if you can find a possible optical leakage route in the phone mechanics, e.g. a missing
rubber boot on top of the sensor, an isolation wall not OK on the LCD frame, or a missing light guide.
The irradiance threshold (detection distance) can be calibrated by setting a reflector on top of the phone at
a desired distance and clicking Calibrate . The irradiance of that moment is written to the phone SW and
used as a new irradiance threshold. However, the proximity sensor detection distance should not be needed
on RM-750.
Tip:
If the diagnostics PC is equipped with a PC speaker, a short beep can be heard if the 'Sensor
state' is read 'ON'. The sensor state will of course change accordingly.
