PROFIBUS PA

11.1

Cyclical communication

Integration with the PROFIBUS PA bus is accomplished through a PROFIBUS DP/PA

coupler imbedded in the general system. It allows coupling with a master from class 1 - e.g.,

SIMATIC S7 and Siemens conducting system PCS7 - for cyclical communication of

measured values and status. The device core file "Sl01184A.gsd" is available for integration

and configuration of the SITRANS DA in a PROFIBUS network. The file provides all

information necessary for cyclical communication with a PROFIBUS master of class 1

(principally all possible baud rates and the number of input and output bytes). You can

integrate the diagnosis setup SITRANS DA400 into a projection tool using the device core

file.

11.2

The following illustrations describe a projection with "HW Konfig" from SIMATIC S7. The

projection as presented is logically transferable to other systems.
