Configuration and Data Transfer

Chapter
3
The PSM module is configured using the GE Intelligent Platforms programming software.
Configuration parameters are used to set nominal values for Grid1 and Grid2 voltage,
current and frequency, and to calibrate the PSM system for specific Potential Transformer
and Current Transformer gains, increasing the accuracy of the measured values.
Configuration parameters are also used to set ANSI device threshold and delay values.
A Mode Control register, consisting of 32 bits in %Q memory, selects operational and
measurement modes. The application must apply initial values to these bits and can
change them while the PSM is running.
The application can change a single configuration parameter in run mode by modifying the
two-word Parameter Write register in %AQ memory.
