MEDIBUS and MEDIBUS.X are software protocols
for data transfer between Carina and other medical
devices (e.g., patient monitors) or other devices
(e.g., computers for data management systems).

Data transmitted over the RS232 COM port are
to be used only for information and are not in-
tended as the sole basis for diagnostic or ther-
apeutic decisions. The RS232 COM port is not
intended for use with a distributed alarm sys-
tem conforming to IEC60601-1-8.

If the connectors of the interface and the pa-
tient are touched simultaneously, there is a
risk of electric shock.
Do not simultaneously touch the connectors
of the interface and the patient.
The
port (RS232 COM port) is intended exclu-
sively for connecting to devices with safety extra-
low voltage (SELV).
