Replacing the Fuel Filter

Replace the fuel filter after every 100 operating hours or
yearly, whichever occurs first.
The best time to replace the fuel filter (Fig. 29) is when the
fuel tank is empty. Never install a dirty filter if it is
removed from the fuel line.
1. Disengage the PTO, shift into neutral, set the parking
brake, stop the engine, and remove the ignition key.
2. Open the hood.
3. Squeeze the ends of the hose clamps together and slide
them away from the filter (Fig. 29).
4. Remove the filter from the fuel lines.
5. Install a new filter and move the hose clamps close to
the filter.
6. Close the hood.

Servicing the Fuse

The electrical system is protected by fuses. No maintenance
is required, however, if a fuse blows, check the circuit
wiring for a short. To replace a fuse, pull up (Fig. 30) to
remove it from the socket. Push down to insert it.
Fuses: 10 amp, blade-type
